No More Military Millions

by | 06Oct2018 | Uncategorized | 7 comments

After much reflection, I’ve decided to shut down Military Millions. Why? Here are the reasons:

  • The Military Millions team has too much on their plate and not enough time to give it the attention it would need for proper development.
  • I have another blog on career planning for Navy physicians that takes priority over this blog (
  • With an upcoming promotion, I’m about to assume more responsibility at work and will need extra time to focus on my military duties, leaving little time for Military Millions.
  • It will soon be my turn to deploy again, which would severely hamper this blog’s development.

Thanks for your readership over the last year. If you are hungry for financial advice specific to the military, I’d check out this list of military financial blogs. If you are looking for general personal finance advice, I’d go to Jonathan Clements’ free on-line money guide.

Sorry to see you go. I agree that blogging is a ton of work (much more than I realized) and sometimes life doesn’t give you much time to really put out a product you want to represent you. Well hopefully you can concentrate on your other blog and make that a success (I didn’t know you ran two blogs which makes it even more impressive)

Thanks. Yes, my other blog will become my focus. It is actually more popular and has been around for 4 years.

I’m sad to see you go but totally get it-blogging is more work than most non-bloggers realize. Best of luck and stay safe! Thanks for your service.

We’ll continue to follow you on Thanks for you work you’ve done here. There’s only so much time and energy to go around. I struggle to keep up sometimes with just one site and a part-time job.
